- Notes accessed and certificates earned
Credentials
- Login tokens and encrypted credentials stored securely on your device for seamless access
Device Information
- Device type, operating system version, and app performance logs (for crash reporting)

How We Use Your Information
- Provide access to specific courses assigned to your student profile
- Track and display your educational progress
- Allow you to view and download study materials (PDFs and notes)
- Generate and verify course completion certificates
- Ensure the security of your account through encrypted authentication

Data Storage & Security
- Encryption: All communication with our servers is conducted over HTTPS
- Secure Storage: Sensitive tokens and passwords are stored using AES encryption via Android's EncryptedSharedPreferences
- Local Caching: We use Hive (a local database) to store your profile and course list locally for faster performance
- No Backups: Cloud backups are disabled allowBackup=false so your private session data stays only on your device
We do not sell your personal information to any third party.
Data is shared only with:
- Your Institution: Your college administrators have access to your progress and profile as part of your enrollment
- YouTube Player API: Used to stream educational videos. By using this App, you are also bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy
- Access: View your profile and enrollment data within the App
- Correction: Update your profile information through your college administrator
- Deletion: Request account deactivation and data removal by contacting your college or our support email
We retain your academic data as long as you are an active student in your institution. If you leave the institution or request deletion, personal data is removed from our active databases according to your college's policy.
CourseMart is intended for students enrolled in professional or academic courses. It is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

- Google Play Services: For core app functionality and updates
We may update this policy periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
